Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's alright here, I have a weird cold / virus thing which has put me off everything, including sorting through the remaining boxes of LPs in storage.
However, I have weeded about 600 out to go, and also came across many doubles and one treble. The treble was today's 50p Friday album, Music From Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer (part of the RCA "Sound Of Violence" series!). It was one of the first soundtrack LPs I ever bought and started me on an odd soundtrack journey that I still seem to be on. Mike Hammer can be found here.
This week while I was lying donw feeling sorry for myself, I found Our Day Out, as I remembered the scene where all the kids raid the service station. The whole quite brilliant Willy Russell masterpiece can be seen here.
Here is also a superb thing about a footy player and a fag, that was sent to me by Paul the neighbour. Thanks Paul.
I now have to pack for a "Lads Weekend" in Dorset. Not sure it''s going to be that 'laddy" with talk of ancient monuments, burial grounds, boggle and this Candida place where we all go and get thrush. However we may well be raiding various service stations on the way down there.
Thanks for listening
Jonny
