Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's pretty groovy here.

Today I start the Trunk Christmas larks, beginning with the superb 50p Friday LP. It's Miles Davis with his quintet (which at the time included Coltrane) and it's the album from 1955. Superb, easy jazz. It can be found here, along with stack of excellent festive 50p finery.

The Miles LP came out in the UK with a stunning christmas / wintery cover by Mel Calman. Calman went on to become an important cartoonist and illustrator (Penguin book covers etc), and recently I spoke with his daughter and licensed his amazing Miles LP artwork for a very, very limited one-off print. It looks unbelievably good and can be found here along with the absolutely gobsmaking artwork for the 1958 British Moondog LP. These are both extremely limited, less that 30 available and will not be remade.

There is also the all new Trunk 2017 Wise Man Christmas Mix. This is an international affair - includes sounds from Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Japan and sounds pretty fine. It can be found here along with loads of other Christmas musical joy, and is free if you spend £25 or more.

Also, new is the super cheap super fun Super Sale Section - loads of classic Trunk CDs and some vinyl I have found for next to sod all.

And finally, for now, there is the all new Trunk Boutique. This is a bit of an experiment, but has started with an amazing and enviable Kate Bush Sweatshirt. In short we have a handful of unfeasibly rare and desirable 1979 Kate Bush clothing transfers. They can be put on a sweatshirt (or tee) of your choosing. Pretty amazing really. More rare rock / pop / film / clothing antics in the boutique shortly.

Next week there is more Christmas joy, tee shirts, a groovy tote (yes, the first ever Trunk tote!), more prints and possibly even some new Trunk LPs that were supposed to be here three weeks ago and no one knows where they are now. Which is nice.

Finally, here is a metal cover of The Pink Panther. He will be appearing somewhere in the next mailing.

I now have to go and play Christmas records for The Quietus. It's going to be well loudus. Oh, and I'm also playing at Spiritland on the 13th, for four hours or something. Do come along.

Thanks for listening as always.

Jonny
