Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's pretty groovy here apart from an odd head cold that is making me feel like Big Daddy has sat on my face. And is coming back to do it again soon.

This will be a very fast 50p Friday mailout as I have to be in far West London for 9am. Today I am offering the remarkable Dizzy And Stuff Smith album. No, I hadn't heard of it either until I was played it and I went bonkers when I did. The opening cue, considering it was recorded in 1957, is still very much on the money. 11+ minutes of musical joy. The 50p Friday album and tons of others are here.

Sticking with a jazzy vibe, this is a great short film about Archer street that I was sent recently - this is where in the 50s and 60s all the London jazz dudes would gather and wait for work. It features Ronnie Scott and even Bill Maynard who died a couple of weeks ago. Includes a good story about Joe Harriott.

Thanks to all who bought Woolies totes and / or tee shirts. According to some emails that have come back, totes have already been "borrowed" by wives and girlfriends, which is a good sign.

I now have to run and get one tube, travel 23 stops on it, get out, do some walking for a bit and then start talking to a groovy woman about her 17,000 LPs for two hours. I bet she hasn't got the Dizzy and Stuff Smith LP.

Thanks for listening - new Trunk LP available next week...
