Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's pretty groovy here although I had a bit of an off day yesterday (unusual for me), but things got better when I found a copy of Stig Of The Dump - the one with the Edward Ardizzone illustrations on the front and inside - for just £1.

As I was feeling a little down I thought the joyous jazzy blues were in order. So the 50p Friday album today is Morgana King Sings The Blues. One of the most extraordinary vocalist of all time (with a four octave range), she died in March leaving a massive back catalogue of pretty interesting albums. This one is possibly up there for me, as it has a version of "Paper Moon" and I always go a but funny with versions of that song. Morgana can be found singing the jazz blues for 50p here, along with a load of other hip stuff. And by the way, the Morgana King LP is not that miserable.

Today you can also get the soundtrack to The Conversation at a fine pre release price. This masterpiece of a minimal 1970s score can be found here. I have very few copies left.

Good to see lots of people at the killer KPM gig last Satruday and Sunday. I will post up info about the Library Music film when it comes available.

In the meantime, anyone living in Bristol can have a night of listening to Toto's Africa over and over and over again in November. Tickets here.

And finally, while I have just taken a slight rock turning, here is Swedish Metal Aid. Check out the hair. And boy, do I mean HAIR.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
