Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's fairly groovy here, were it not for a failed "birds and bees" chat with my 12 year old last night.

Moving swiftly on, I have spent the week working on an unusual release, unusual in that it is for Record Store Day, This is not something I normally do, but this seemed to be a good idea at the time, by "time" I mean last week. More news on that will follow.

Next week a new Trunk LP will be available. It's a repress of Kes. The original is hitting silly money now and it was nearly 20 years ago since I first pressed it. So expect an email mid week.

Today's 50p Friday is all about Thomas Hardy, he of Far From The Madding Crowd and Dorset fame. I had no idea an album had been made of his poetry until last year, and also no idea that that singular album had been made by the master of all poetry reading (as far as I'm concerned), Richard Burton. Yes, a match made in heaven. That's right, The Poetry Of Thomas Hardy Read By Richard Burton is yours for 50p here.

Next up is a terrible song sung by Bob Holness' daughter on Italian TV - thanks Steve.

This coming week has me answering questions posed by the great Travis Elborough about library music after a fresh showing of The Music Library Film here in Landan Taaan. All at the Regents Cinema on Wednesday 23rd to be precise. And also, myself and Martin Green will be playing 5 hours of library music at the all new Spiritland venue on the Soutbank next Sunday, Free from 1pm to 6pm and a bit bonkers.

I'm now off to buy smelly old vinyl at Spitalfields and then to hop quickly to The Tate to watch the dying midday moments of the sublimely crafted The Clock.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
