Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's pretty groovy here, especially now the weather seems to be warming up and I can finally get my shirts and tee shirts out. In was at the Spitalfields antiques market yesterday and someone said I looked like I'd just come from Club Tropicana. To which I pointed out I was wearing a 1950s shirt and later shorts, and not anything like pure white budgie smugglers.

Anyway, I also went to the warehouse yesterday where all things Trunk are stored (just around the corner from Spitalfields), and have decided to have a clearout. So, all my tee shirt stock is now half price. Yes HALF PRICE. Have a look here in the tee shirt sale section. Bargains.

Also a bargain is today's 50p Friday album, which is an early and fine album by Cleo Laine. I grew up seeing her on the TV all the time, then saw her perform at Michael Garrick's memorial and she totally blew me away. She's a vast talent, and here she is singing a load of songs all with the word "I" in the title - I actually thought it was "me" to start with then I looked again. All the 50p madness is here as usual.

As for a film link this week, this appeared in my inbox. Seems like a strange arty film by George Lucas, using EE Cummings poetry. Nice music too.

This email has been sent out just after 6am - yes it's very early as I'm off with my little breakfastless family to St Pancras, to catch the train to France, and then Spain, where apparently there is rain on the plain awaiting us.

Thanks for listening as always

Jonny
