Morning, I hope all is groovy. Pretty groovy here, sun out, shorts on, slight hangover.

So, had no confirmation that the 50p downloads were working smoothly so will not be taking any chances, even though I have a tennis record ready for you.

Instead, I have the new Trunk LP that has just landed. Ernest Berk, Electronic Music For Two Ballets. The short story is as follows: Ernest Berk, maverick ballet dancer and instructor. Lived in London. Did groovy things. But couldn't find the music he wanted to perform to, so made his own using electronics and tape. So, basically danced to his own tune. His entire tape archive was destroyed in the terrible Köln Archive collapse, so very little of his music still exists. IN fact pretty much NONE. Electronic Music For Two Ballets comes from an acetate held by his family. Reminds me a little of Gershwin (think "Manhatten" but with tape). Anyway, advance copies now available in ye Olde Trunk shoppe. Great sleeve too.

You can hear a bit more Berk on this legendary Gladwell short. Pretty odd, intense and violent for 1964.

Or you can just watch this bowling robot.

I'm now off to the Spitalfields Record Fayre, and deliberately taking no money as I've already spent far too much on weird dub and library music over the last month. Please don't tell my wife.

Thanks for listening as always

Jonny
