Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's all pretty groovy here, helped along by the fact I bought 52 library LPs this week. Most people think I've had enough of library music and that I have "everything". Well I haven't and I haven't. And I will have a sale list of super duper doubles shortly.

Also, on the subject of library music, myself and Martin Green will be playing "Half Forgotten Library" at Spiritland South Bank this coming Sunday, MIdday until 4:30pm. Amazing sound system (including a pair of EMT 938s), free to get in, come on down.

There is absolutely no connection between library music and today's 50p offering - Peggy Seeger Presents The origins Of Skiffle. A very early EP demostrating the precise link between her folk sounds and those blokes with washboards. I don't actually mind skiffle in little doses and this is a little dose, and is also not quite skiffle. Peggy can be found here.

Over the last few weeks I have been sent some very interesting and also very daft little films. This one is a mixture of both, girl plays Hendrix on a gayageum and she so easily gets away with it.

I'm now off to Soho for a meeting with Ian Shirley from Record Collector Mag. He has just issued a CD of The Ebony Steel Band playing Kraftwerk. We're not going to talk about that though. But I am going to try and get him to say "don't call me Shirley" at some stage throughout the morning.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
