Morning, I hope you are well. And not ill. All is OK here. Had some major fallouts and run-ins with the 14 year old boy who is now, as far as Mrs Trunk and myself are concerned, deep "in the swamp" of teenagerism. Also, I have refused to go and have another fight with the bamboo (thanks for the multiple gardening tips last week). And, I have not shaved since lockdown began and I now look like someone who is really trying to grow a beard.

This week I have been all over the metaphorical shop, and queued outside real ones. I have also been re-watching some old films in the evening (and last Saturday morning). Which has been good. The 50p offering this week (all money to the NHS) is from an old film that had a strange and beguiling effect over me back in the 1970s when I first saw it. The Inn Of The Sixths Happiness. Bergman. Malcolm Arnold. The Knick Knack Kids singing "This Old Man". All 50p, all here.

Another film I watched this week was The Ballad Of Tam Lin. Groovy folk horror from 1970, directed by Roddy McDowell, and a great print on YouTube. Check out Joanna Lumley's beautiful polka dot dress.

I have also been catching up on some unread books too, including one about David Bowie, which has been interesting in many ways. I read about this weirdy promo film from 1969 called Love Me Till Tuesday, which I had never seen before, with the earliest version of Space Oddity on it. Worth a look for sure, and you can really see the influence of Lindsay Kemp. Especially in David's new white tights.

There is a slim chance I might have a new Trunk LP for next week, as the warehouse told me yesterday it is now open and they are posting new releases. But we will see...I've heard people are still buying records on-line.

I'm now off to do some skipping in the garden. With a rope. And singing a folk song at the same time... "My mother said, I never should" etc.

Thanks for listening and stay well.

Jonny
