Hello, I hope you are well. And a Happy New Year to you. I have added a question mark to the subject line today as I'm not sure how happy we all are at the moment. This end it has been a stressy week - this is the second week of home schooling and the teen has now turned into a kind of Hugh Heftner / Ewok kind of character. He currently lies down all day to do his school work and then all night to do his gaming and all in a furry brown dressing grown (The Heftner bit), but the dressing gown has a hood and ears (the Ewok bit). Hugh Ewok? Ewok Hefner?
Anyway, I have been busy with Trunk things, organising all sorts. There are currently two and half Trunk LPs on their way to being made (pressing times for LPs is now 14-16 weeks - when it used to be about 4) and this week I have finally nailed the all new 25 year Trunk compilation. More of that is due course. Well in about 14 weeks. And next week I am going to have a sale with LPs starting at £2.99. So there.
There is no 50p Friday offering today because I cannot be arsed.
This totally mad thing was sent to me this week. It really is terrible. And was issued by a major label.
If you have Netflix I strongly suggest you watch Bathrooms Over Broadway. It features an American collector - a bit like me I'm told - who collects all the classic and bonkers American Industrial LPs. By this I don't mean Throbbing Gristle, I mean LPs made of the huge annual corporate musical shows put on by companies like Ford, MacDonalds and JC Penney. People dancing around dressed as beer bottles or singing about silicone. All sorts. This is one of my faves. Took me about ten years to find a copy.
I'm now off to hoover my office again. Then I might decide what I'm cooking everyone for lunch again. Then I might walk the dog again. Then I might do some work in the clean office again to make it all dirty. So then I can hoover it again. And then I might listen to a record I haven't heard before again.
Thanks for listening as always and please stay well.
Jonny
