Morning, I hope you are well. Pretty good here, had my vaccine on Monday, felt a bit odd on Tuesday, felt wild and excited on Wednesday and now I feel that I am under the total control of Bill Gates. So I am getting rid of everything "Mac" in my life and getting totally into Windows. And as soon as lockdown is over I'm going to that rubbish Microsoft Shop in Oxford Circus. It's where we all meet from now on apparently, to disuss the future.
This week I helped a chum with some bookshelves, which is a bit hard wearing a mask. Anyway, by way of thanks he gave me a link to this amazing thing. Yes, it's a record about Northampton, a place where the lost aliens land to find help and answers. And all sung by Linda Jardim, the voice on that Buggles smash hit. The whole news story is here.
There is no 50p Friday album this week, BUT if you really want something to buy there is a new Vision on Tee and all new 3D Vision On Sweatshirt which is genuinely beautiful and very cheap when you consider you could buy a slightly less hip sweatshirt for at least three times the price it you went to a trendy on-line store. Yes, it's cheaper to be either way ahead of the curve or way behind it if you ask me. Both will look amazing and garner many questions next time you "jump on a zoom".
In other news I have just been and gone and booked a large hall in Stoke Newington and I am planning "Trunk presents the first ever Record Collector Magazine Groovy Record fayre". It will be on October 2nd 2021. Record dealers, indie labels, beer, vintage music tees, killer music posters, all sorts (even a pub music quiz) across two halls and three bars and all day and into the evening. Put it in your post covid diary. Drop me a line if you want a stall.
I'm now off to skip and perform a series of burpees in the garden.
Thanks for listening
Jonny
