Morning, hope all is well. Alright here, had a super weekend camping in what turned out to be a slightly militant campsite where everything had to shut down at 11pm, everyone had to be in their tents and they sent out patrols to check the fields with torches and mini tractor things. At first I was a bit against it (the 11pm finish), but then I realised I could be tucked up in bed early and quite got into it.

Yesterday it was actually quite a nice day weather wise, I thought of hawaiian shirts and then I thought of From Here To Eternity, a slightly controversial movie in its day for many reasons, including this legendary love / beach scene with Burt and Deborah Kerr. The soundtrack is one of the rarest of all time, pressed onto 10" shellac. A recording taken from my copy of this OST is today's 50p Friday offering, featuring music by Danny Stewart And His Islanders. It can be found here. Remember this is shellac, so there will always been a bit of background noise. Just like there is here when the kids are on the PS4 in the front room here.

If you are looking for a silly thing to watch, this was something I came across in the week, when someone had sent me a film about a man and a plane. This is a film about strange pets in New York, circa 1978. There is an otter. And these weirdy things called Virginia Opossums.

A handful of advanced copies of the Auto Erotica finished book arrived this week too. It looks fabulous. A "backer report" asking important questions was sent to everyone who backed the book, if you have not seen an email from Kickstarter and you backed the book, maybe have a look in your spam, where quite a lot of Kickstarter emails land.

I'm now off to the Spitz Record Fayre. I'm on the hunt for hot instagrammable records, and hot instagrammable record dealers.

Thanks for listening
