Morning, I hope all is groovy. Pretty groovy here. We were lucky enough to go away for two days to the countryside at Easter. We went for a walk. The teen spotted "a Caterpuss or something". I ran over to see this new creature I'd never heard of. It was a caterpillar. The good news is he is now revising at least 15 minutes a day for his up and coming GCSEs. Christ.
This week I have filled ye olde Trunk shoppe with new record bag tees (inlcuding an early Savage Pencil one), a MacFisheries tee, a Saab sweatshirt and more. All things for sale are here.
Tomorrow sees the release of the AZ Of Record Shop Bags book. I will be at Rough Trade East from about 10:30 if you are about. Then to YMC to DJ for an hour or so near the ladies shirts. The book is already getting some ace press - 6 pages in Record Collector, 2 pages in Electronic Sound, 2 pages in Shindig - all very exciting indeed.
This week I also manage to finally license a 1972 LP made by a man born in Mauritius, who moved to the UK, and then ended up living in Drop City for a couple of years before coming back and settling in Cheshire. Drop City was the first hippie commune. They even made a doc about it.
I'm now off to the commune that is the open water swimming ladies up at the reservoir. Then to the record fayre once I have towelled myself off.
Thanks for listening as always
Jonny
