Morning, I hope all is well. All fine here.
Huge thanks to everyone who bought the AZ Of Record Shop Bags from their local record shops or who pre-ordered it from the Trunk website. It is all very VERY much appreciated and makes putting together such a thing truly rewarding.
The book is picking up some good press too - Creative Review, It's Nice That, Electronic Sound, Record Collector, Shindig and hopefully the Observer this weekend. I can barely contain myself. Last time I was supposed to be in the Observer I spent £3 or whatever it is now to get the paper and then found out when I got home I was only in the online edition. However I did make it into Classic Car Weekly this week and they spelt my name wrong.
The owl and parrot tee shirts all sold out in about 12 hours this week, if you missed out there are more coming next week in different colourways - I shall keep you informed. More exciting tees here.
I'm now off to go swimming in the lake with the ladies, then I have to meet Bob Stanley to discuss next week's mini book tour for his all new book as I am apparently the compere (see you in Saltaire, Glasgow, Manchester, London). Then I'm going to a wake. For someone who used to be on the Trunk mailing list and lived on my road here in N16. He was a truly lovely man, great husband, fine father - an all round super groovy generous and talented guy. He has died far too young and I shall miss our joyous passing conversations about everything and nothing.
Thanks for listening as always
Jonny
