Morning, I hope all is well. All is well here in a very hot fashion. Temperatures rising, bookings for open water swimming in N16 rising. And then temperatures rising even more. So much so there was a fire in the roof of a house about 200 meters away. Luckily no one hurt. Some angry drivers as fire engines were blocking the road. How terrible.

Last week I ended up the mailing by stating that I was taking granny to the Antiques Roadshow. I did and no one wanted her. However I did have a weird 1970s BBC wristwatch I have filmed and valued which was no where near as interesting as the mass of strange things that turned up in Clissold Park for all the experts to really dribble over: some super rare 1950s fabric (skip find, worth thousands and thousands), 1970s skateboards, a weird 1930s Bugatti corner chair and a mechanical witch to name but a few.

I also mentioned last week that I was going to the Spitalfields record fayre - I went and I'd missed it by a week. I got home and the emails telling me so were strangely welcoming. I made up for it yesterday by buying some really odd things from a hoarder's easy listening collection that arrived at Flashbacks in the East End. LPs included a strange ten inch sex instruction recording. Not sure I actually needed it, if you know what I mean.

Also this week I was send this really odd video.

I'm now off to the pub where that odd video was filmed, to see if they are still there.

Thanks for listening as always
