Morning, I hope all is well. All well here but I did have a weird moment this week when I was recording the Patreon show. Sat there at my desk recording and listening to a spooky halloween Italian thing when I felt something odd in my hair. Seems like a large creepy crawly thing had lowered itself on to my head and started to nest. I panicked, my arms and headphones went everywhere. I have no idea what it was or where it is now.

Anyway, preparations are ongoing for The Groovy Fayre. I was at The Mildmay last night sorting tables, my big signs, parking permits for dealers, all sorts. Very exciting. Schedule as follows:

8am - I arrive at The Mildmay Club N16 with three hungover teens eager to help dealers in with all their records, books, arty weird things, clothes, posters, tees shirts and madness.

11am  - Groovy Fayre opens to public. But I can guarantee there will be people queuing up and trying all sorts to get in well before this.

Midday - the bars open.

2pm - the groovy fayre will be in full swing and people keep having fun and buy more stuff...

4pm - live band in the upstairs hall starts playing covers of stuff like Felt. And VU.

6pm - most dealers will have packed up

6:30pm ish super fun music quiz with prizes begins with pop journo legend Craig McLean

8pm ish - we all start to dance everywhere thanks to Martin Green and special super famous guest DJ

1am - we all go home.

Free entry. See you there. btw my Mum has bailed (again) as she has got a better offer of a coach trip with the Cat's Protection League.

Everything is also now in for the Children Of The Stones release for Saturday - I ordered several "extra bits", like postcards and a poster, plus I needed a rubber stamp to stamp the envelope for all the postcards. All in, all done, all ready. See you at the fayre.

Yes it's Halloween on Monday. Here is all the 50p Halloween spooky stuff

This is worth watching because it's October 1980, and includes an advert for Drifter. I used to love a Drifter, apart from the stick-to-your-teeth part.

I'm now off to swim in the unusually warm water for this time of year.

Thanks for listeing as always

Jonny
