Morning, I hope all is well. All fine here, Mrs Trunk has been away in Glasgow all week so "us lads" have been watching the soccer at the dinner table, avoiding all green food and wiping our grubby hands on our trousers when we're not just wearing pants. It has been ace.

In other news I was hoping to launch all the jolly Trunk Xmas larks this week BUT there have been some unexpected (well sort of expected actually) delays with weird excuses like "sorry, we put you in the wrong digital queue".

So, next week all will be revealed - there is a new old LP, a new old flexi, a pack of groovy cards, some sweats, a sausage / pie based tee shirt and something to do with an underground rodent. And the annual Xmas mix ("sorry, we stuck it in the wrong digital queue and put the wrong address on it too"). So more news mid next week...

In even more other news there is an online petition to save the legend of interior design that is Trader Vic's at The Hilton, Park Lane. This superb South Pacific style bar interior was fitted in 1963 and is totally unique in many ways. It looks like it is up for the chop, to be turned by the hotel into one of those bland, homogonised posh bar things with leathery purple booths and glass and glitter and tight trousers on all the waiting staff that they have 6 versions of already. Have a look here.

Here is possibly the oddest documentary about Butlins. You think it's normal and then it really is not. Turns into a bit of a grotesque Felliniesque thing. Bonkers. Made by HTV West, with Tony Palmer (200 Motels etc) directing. Says it all really.

I'm now off swimiming with the gang in the very cold reservoir, then it's all about spending the rest of the morning not being able to feel my feet.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
