Morning, I hope all is well. All groovy here, Mrs Trunk has been in Texas all week, so me and the sons have been walking about in our pants and not washing our hands. But we did eat some broccoli.

Last Friday, at the Spitz Record Fayre, I had a remarkable bit of luck. I got there at 11am, so four hours after deals start getting done. Bought a couple of cheap LPs, mooched about a bit and ended up at a stall that isn't normally there. Having flicked through a small classical box I moved to another small box of LPs, the third LP in having two tiny stickers top right "New Wave" and "£30". As I pulled the record up, to my amazement this was the fabled Gary Wilson self pressed debut LP from 1977. I double checked, Yes it was an original Gary. I had never seen one in my life, but had been made aware of it many years ago thanks to Jason Draper, a Prince and Beck expert. Bascially it's a jazz / soul / psych basement outsider LP. Really quite something. A truly thrilling moment, possibly the best find "in the wild" in all my years of collecting. So I posted it on Instagram, and got contacted by Gary himself telling me what the current insane value is. And I mean insane.

In fact here is a documentary made in 2005 about trying to find the lost Gary. Like Sugarman but without the sugar.

Today there is also a very small sale at Original Peter. Where I sell handmade British made record bags. Basically we have sold all the bags (more being ordered) but have found a box of super cool camo ones that are now heavily discounted - at least 30% off. Here and here.

I'm now off to the kitchen to wait for the heating expert man, as the heating is still not working. Will warm myself up with some crumpet before he arrives.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
