Hello, I hope all is groovy. All good here. Had a funny "slow" week, with a series of slightly unsettling power cuts on the ground floor. Plus a weird rotting whiff invading the Kirchin. I mean kitchen.

After a couple of days of eliminations and detective work we arrived at the conclusion that the overworked old toaster was possibly now toast, and was fusing everything. So it was removed away from the power socket. A day later we noticed the odd whiff had moved. Then Mrs Trunk realised that a mouse had toasted itself in the toaster, was now rotting inside it, and that was i) what was causing the regular outage and ii) what was causing the unpleasant whiff. I spent twenty minutes with screwdrivers and tongs and things and eventually removed what was left of the brown rodent.

In other news a new Trunk LP has arrived but more of that shortly.

Sad news about Michael Parkinson, God of the TV inetrview and a strangely constant part of my weekend life throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Here he is with Burton. I can still remember (and quote) some of the amazing lines Burton comes out with. And here he is with Obi Wan talking about Star Wars. What a TV life he had. Mrs Trunk has stepped in here and also added this amazing Hollywood Women montage.

If you are in London please go see the free exhibtion of Freddie Mercury's possssions, all being auctioned shortly. There are a total of 6 auctions. Amazing things. Amazing stage wear, amazing ephemera, amazing taste. Amazing prices too (from £20 to £2M). His terrible small record collection is already at £5K, his M&S cardy is already £1600, so who know where this will all end up.

I'm now off to the record fayre to tell everyone else about the Freddie Auction. Might liven the place up a bit.

Thanks for listening as always

Jonny
