Morning, I hope all is well. All groovy here. The big news the dog is now a big fan of roasted sweet potato and parsnip.
The dog (wire haired dachshund) is also now a part of an ongoing comedy routine in the garden with a heron who keeps coming in and pecking out mating frogs from the small garden pond and eating them. The dog runs out when the heron is spotted, the heron flys up on to the fence and looks down and yawns at the small dog until he is gone. Then goes back and starts eating again, until the dog returns.
Thanks to all who dived in and bought all the copies of the limited edition Audio Erotica book. They all sold out over the weekend, which is very flattering indeed. If you missed out on the limited edition slipcase edition (complete with 4 postcards) Fuel have a few left and they can be found here on their very functional website.
In other news - as mentioned at the end of last week's mailout, I went to a post punk's loft to see his records. This was a loft in the Holloway area, about 1000 LPs and singles belonging to Richard Torry, former member of Minty / friend of Leigh Bowery, Westwood designer, weirdy hip DJ and general all round London arty club kid groundbreaker. He needed them gone and we have been talking about getting them moved along for ages. Anyway, I got the LPs home (from three floors up, down ladders etc), sorted them into sections (including a large charity shop section that I took to Mind in N16), united records with sleeves etc and then sold them for Richard to Atlantis Records in Hackney. In all a fascinating collection of early dance 12s, weird European electronics, art rock, punk and more. With quite a lot of masking tape added for BPM notes. If you are in Hackney go and have a dig.
Here is a film that is up for the Oscars for short doc. Very charming.
