Morning, I hope all is well. All well here, I have a slight tan from my recent trip to sunny Spain, and have come back to fairly pleasant weather here in the UK which could easily "top things up". But the weather is also playing havoc with my plan to only drink at weekends for a bit because I have crowbarred in a "good weather" caveat. This is what I told my wife at the pub last night.
In other news Teen One is about to go (tomorrow) to learn how to cook food for a few weeks on a chef / cooking course. This is part of his most excellent plan to try out jobs he might want to do for a career before he decides what he might want to do. He's following a very similar path to me, but I went and worked at McDonalds in Aldershot where I learnt how to mop floors and wash up really well and how to play arcade games and how to fight off drunk squaddies.
Whilst I was away on hols I read another book about Taylor & Burton. Then I watched this bonkers film with them in it. Has a John Barry score. Everything else in the film is bonkers and the house was build just for the film, which caused all sorts of eco dramas on the Sardinian island where it was shot. Certainly worth five minutes just to watch the costly cinematic madness.
I'm now off to go and i) get some more remastering done ii) see my mother iii) collect some orchard fruit for jamming from my sister's garden iv) I will not be making the jam, one of the ladies I swim with will make the jam v) I will be supplying some of the empty jam jars vi) I will be eating some of the jam.
Thanks for listening
Jonny
