Morning, I hope all is well. All fine here. But it's been a rather frustrating week as Monday morning at 10am the screen on my Apple turned into a Paul Smith beachtowel yet again.
The faulty Apple was taken to the local "repair station" and I finally got it back last night. I called yesterday to ask when it might be ready and they said "we sent you an email on Tuesday saying it was ready for collection". I reminded them that they had my laptop and my emails are only on my laptop. Anyway...
...thanks to everyone who came to the fifth Mr Vintage Fayre - over 1000 people came through the door to look, buy, chat and generally hang out across two halls of very fine vintage men's clobber. A great day out. I bought an old shirt I didn't need and a Chet Baker LP that I also didn't need, although it was a UK pressing from 1957. More news of the next Trunk Fayre when I've organised it. Also thanks to everyone who wrote back last week and said they'd be up for a Trunk hat of sorts. So I am on it.
In other news I would have sent off two LPs to get made this week, but I have been without my Apple. And Mrs Trunk has just got back from South By South West late last night and discovered there had been a water leak in the overhead luggage locker and her Apple is wet and unresponsive.
For this week's visual madness here is Battle Of The TV Stars, from the mid 1970s. Includes swimming races with Linda Carter, Telly Savalas etc. Bonkers. With Bob James music and more.
If you are about I have the cover versions evening at The Listening Room next Thursday. I will be playing fabulous and not so fabulous cover versions of fabulous songs on a fabulous sound system. Tickets here.
In the meantime I'm now going to catch up on the week of work I've managed to enjoy missing.
Thanks for listening as always
Jonny
