Morning I hope all is well. As this is the first mailout of 2026, I wish you a happy new year.

So far 2026 has been a bit mad - I had to fix a leak in the ceiling that had dripped without being noticed for a while into a long box of soundtrack singles - I lost a load of sleeves that upset me for about 20 minutes and then I realised it was just records and that there are far greater things to worry about in life. The leak has been fixed, most of the record are now dry. And I am dry too as I have not drunk since Dec 31st. Roll on Feb 1. 

Mrs Trunk is taking year out after 30 years of relentless work. This is having some very positive and interesting effects - we went to see the Peter Doig art and sound thing yesterday and had coffee in the miserable rain, which was great. 

The gears broke on my bicycle this week. And I had to cycle home locked in the highest gear which meant I had to pedal really fast to only move really slowly for about four miles. The gears have now been fixed. 

As this is Trunk Year 30 I will try and put together some interesting and fun releases. The first one is a single and will be ready end of Jan early Feb. So more about that shortly. 

In the meantime here is a door that sounds like Miles Davis. 

I'm now off to swim in the cold, then it's a trip to Portobello Road to hopefully get as soaked through as I did yesterday,
