Morning, I hope all is well. All a bit mad here. Teen Two had his prom and wore a suit with no tie and blue Airforce 1s. My mother went into hospital with kidney failure, and the legendary Paul Flack, who has done much of the Trunk sleeve art since 2002, died.

My mother seems stable at the moment but the deep and raw emotions of Paul leaving us all permanently - literally out of the blue - have been very hard to come to terms with. I have cried in the car, cried swimming and wept at my desk. He was so much fun, working with him was always so very entertaining and brilliantly unpredictable. He will be badly and sorely missed for a very long time by a lot of people.   

And, of course, life goes on. So in other less devastating news, most of the Hockney / Hock Ness tees are now in and will be posted out today, a few have still not arrived as the tee shirt supplier ran out of blue, but they will be back in stock next week. My apologies if you are kept waiting.

Also there are two new Listening Room evenings that have just been posted that I am, as always, very excited about. The World Of Sergio Mendes on July 28th - I will playing some of his more sublime recordings as well as looking into some of his influences and the work of his groovy band members. And on August 10th I will be dragging my box of killer post punk 7s out to be explored. All events can be booked here.

I'm now off to see my mum and then it's off on holiday with my family, the idea being to drink less on holiday than I do at home. I'll let you know how I get on. Back in week.
