Morning, I hope all is well. All good here, although I did have an odd cold that left me in bed longer than normal and had this odd way or working itself around my head and body in real time. I am thrilled to be better now.

Thanks for all the emails re my wife's bus-based petition last week. Apparently I sent a link (twice) to a page where it still thought I was logged in. Classic. So here is the right link  (I hope) where I am not logged in.

In other news the long awaited Trunk 30th compilation is here. Instead of repeating what I did for Trunk 25 where I brought together 33 tracks I'd mostly issued before, here I've pulled together an LP's worth of music I have not yet issued on vinyl. What better way, I thought, to sum up such a unique label better than continuing where I first began?

Tracks include some unreleased Roger Webb slow sexy disco, scatty breakbeat library, psychedelics from Gabo Szabo’s backing group (The Advancement), groovy jazz from Pittsburg (The Silhouettes), Basil Kirchin’s unreleased electronic experimental thing (it is very much “a thing”). Plus, outsider singing from a hippie who lived in Drop City, a flexi disc selling you the Milton Keynes shopping centre dream and of course some improvised jazz for children’s dance workshops. Oh, and some unreleased John Cameron from an 1970 Peter Cook film. And more! And all on one bargain LP.

Here is the track listing:

Side One:
Walking On The Dark Side - Peter Beasson / Jacques Hendrix
Stone Folk - The Advancement
Watch The Waters Flow - Ananda Thalia
Lunar Invasion - The Silhouettes
Brass Tones - Delia Derbyshire / Elsa Stansfield
Bowskill Tape 1-1 - Coleridge Goode

Side Two:
Central Milton Keynes - Ronnie Bond
Electronic Instrument Tape - Basil Kirchin
La Même Chose - Roger Webb
One Day Last Summer - St Mary’s Secondary
Rimmer Tape - John Cameron

There will be only one pressing of this, some going to shops, most available via the Trunk shop. Special bargain price in the Trunk shop too.... you can buy it right here now.

There is no film this week as I want your full attention on the latest LP.

I'm now off to the record fair to tell everyone about my new record.

Thanks for listening as always, and thanks for the last 30 years!

Jonny
