hello, I hope all well. It's all chaos here.
I'm writing this at about 11:35 on THursday evening, having spent an evening at The PRide OF Spitalfields. It's a pub. As a result there may well be more errors than normal, so I will try and keep this mailing short.
The #50pFriday album today is an absolute killer, one of the great rock and roll masterpieces of all time, one full of swaggering rockabilly madness and attitude. It's super cool, super always, it's Johnny Burnette And The Rock And Roll Trio and you can have it right now for 50p here. Apparently it's one of Mr Andrew Weatherall's fave LPs of all time.
Annoyingly for you I'm sticking with the GPO Tower for visual entertainment (this will be the last time, I promise), and this is a brilliant slo-mo trip through a 360 degree drawing done from the tower in about 1969 by the bloke who drew all the buildings on the front of of telephone directories throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Thanks to Adam for this, who I managed to called Alan last week. So sorry about that.
If that' s not enough, you now have a chance to buy deadstock Delia Derbyshire library CDs. These were non commercial library CDs of the classci ESL 104 1969 LP pressed up by the Standard Music Library in the 1990s but were never sent out to TV stations. You can buy copies here. Also, I have 5 boxes of original Standard Music Library LPs up for grabs, including super rare weird bits (Delia, The Third Ear Band, Mike Vickers, Midas Touch etc), as well as music from classic TV, soft erotic movies and even an LP with a really crap cover of Space Oddity on it. These library music LP opportunities come up rarely these days - for a complete list please email me. You might not get anything back until later today though as I have to have lunch with my mother, who is mental.
Till soon my chums - thanks for listening as always
Jonny
