hello, I hope all is groovy. It's well groovy here, and boy do I mean GROOVY as I'm currently wading through a mass of odd and unpredictable ephemera from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. As a result of this wading, strange and unexpected prints (and things like that) will be heading this way very soon. Burgers are the beginning, but more about that in a week or two.

As for the #50pFriday album this week, it's more of an EP and one I had no idea existed until a few weeks ago. Quincy Jones wrote the music for a Swedish film called The Boy In The Tree. It's not that kind of Swedish film, but was his first ever score, and features a simply amazing title track which is all spooky and wordless and jazz and ahead of its time. It's brilliant. And just 50p. It's right here.

There will also be a Boy In The Radio Station this week as my youngest child - Harvey aged 6, is taking over the OST Show this Saturday. Lord help us.

Apologies (I seem to say this a lot) to all the people who bought physical things like albums and tee shirts last week and never got the promised free Kirchin sampler CD. Hopefully this issue has been resolved now, because they were sent out after the person who forgot to pack the free sampler CDs was tarred and feathered and thrown into Brick Lane with nothing but his bus fayre for forgetting in the first place.

And yes, there is an all new Trunk release in town. It's in Ye Olde Trunk Shoppe right now, a few weeks ahead of actual release. It's called Time Signals and is by Klaus Weiss. It's one of the most sought after library LPs of our time, possibly because nothing else sounds quite as raving mad or out there. It also includes a killer track called "Survivor" which seems to add to the excitement. Time Signals can be found here. There will be Kirchin sampler CDs sent out with this until we run out, which is quite soon.

Sticking with the raving mad, here is the rare British jazz-based film of The Original Peter (there is Part 1 and Part 2), as conceived and performed by Mike Westbrook and his merry men, woman (Norma), cardboard cutouts and wrestlers. You have to get to the end of Part 2 to hear Original Peter.

I've now got to wait in for a young lady called Elinor and she's coming around for a tupperware party.

Thanks for listening.
