Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's groovy here.
But, once again I am hungover having spent an evening at the launch of My Boosey Weighs A Ton, a new album based on samples from the Boosey And Hawkes library. Yes, I had a bit too much boosey last night.
During the evening I was talking with Jonny Cuba, one of the artists, about Creed Taylor. This is why I have put his classic and groundbreaking SHOCK album up for just 50p today. A brilliant, mesmerising bit of work, basically Creed Taylor messing with jazz and funny tapeloops of noise and SFX and people doing stuff. Insanely brilliant and still sounding amazing 65 years on. SHOCK can be found here for 50p.
Thanks to all those who bought Time Signals over the last week. They started shipping last night.
And on the way home last night I started to think about any films / videos I'd been sent this week. Then I remembered the only thing I'd been sent was an old man singing Christmas songs really badly and I don't think that's quite right for today. But then I did recall that I'd been directed to this absolute classic - Naked Yoga. Contains blurred nudity and hippies and music by the Shake And Vac man.
I'm now off the the KPM archive.
Thanks for listening
Jonny
