Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's groovy here. I have just come back from holiday, to the British rain. And lots of it. And a planned trip to the British coast for this weekend has just been cancelled. Bum and double bum.
So, to cheer myself up I have made the #50pFriday album one of sun and joy and fun and light campery. Yes, this is the old LP by Rawicz And Landauer, the dynamic double piano due. MOst of their career was all bout Brahms and Liszt, but here they are throwing caution to the wind and presetn a set of tunes baking in tropical Island heat. You weil be dancing Rhumbas, Cha Cha Chas and Sambas all weekend. Rawicz And Landauer can be found here.
My apologies to anyone who ordered a blue Panet Of The Apes tee. I made an unforced error and said there were large sized ones when there weren't any at all. So, they are being made at the moment and as soon as they are in they will be sent to you.
The Basil Kirchin black vinyl LP is now for sale in ye olde shoppe. As is a repress of the Jellies Jive Baby On A Saturday Night. Three labels asked to license The Jellies recenty for a repress and also the original 12" I made started to sell for £40+, so I thought a Trunk repress was now in order. It has a white label, so different from the back label one from 2010. New vinyl can be found here.
While I was away on holiday I was show this old sketch by Cardinal Burns. I watched it about ten times. Hilarious. Dark. Please be warned it contains "adult themes".
I'm now waiting for my favourite carpenter to turn up. I have to get some - wait for it - record shelves made. Now there's a surprise.
Thanks for listening as always
Jonny
