Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's well groovy here as I've been getting all odd and nostalgic about Apollo 11. I even went and saw the new Apollo 11 film at the Imax. Wow. Big Wow.
So, 50 years on, I am still reasonably obsessed with space (I've been posting up loads of space LPs all week on Instagram), and have uploaded a heap of space and moon-travel influenced albums and recordings onto a special page, simply now known as 50p Space. Anything from Moonscape to songs about lunar joy are covered. There are albums, compilations, all sorts. All can be found here for 50p. What a trip. And cheaper than the $250,000 you have to pay for a ticket on Virgin Galactic. Or Blue Origin. If they ever get that far.
I also came across this odd Perrey / Kingsley footage as they played "Spooks In Space" in 1966. Had never seen it before.
In other news I took delivery of even more tee shirts this week, this time it's a traffic light version of the Vision On tees. See here.
I'm now off to the Spitz Record Fayre and then it's to Soho to meet Ian Shirley from Record Collector and the RRPG. Could you think of a more exciting morning. I doubt it.
Thanks for listening
Jonny
