Morning, I hope all is well. All well here. Teen two has started learning about currency exchanges, playing with pretend money on a demo app and is already talking about Forex and stuff like that. It's like The Big Short / Wall Street now at breakfast.
In other news we had a dramatic cleg nut issue this week. It wasn't me. No. The small and most excellent dog walked out yesterday with a giant one attached to his rear end. He wouldn't let us near it for removal, and hid at every opportunity. And when we finally grabbed him it was so well attached that it could have been the start of a weird fairy tale. "Cleg nuts in May" was my lovely wife's way of summing up the issue. In the end I had to soak the dog for ten minutes in the bath. We have a very clean dog now. Apologies if this has put you off breakfast. Or the bath.
Staying with nuts, thanks to everyone who had bought Basic Maths, the truly nuts and anarchic 30 track soundtrack to a kooky maths show in 1980 on Central TV. I was listening again this week, some of it is not a million miles away from Aphex Twin. There are some copies left but not many. All here.
Here is a short film about Gene Puerling. He was the vocal arranger and genius in charge of vocal groups like The Singers Unlimited, who I have a big soft spot for. And here's a late night audio doc about Robin Hardy's sons coming to terms with their dad's Wicker Man film. Well it is May.
I'm now off to the local Spitz record fayre and I am hoping to get really wet in this lovely May rain that seems to be set in until about 4 this afternoon.
Thanks for listening as always
Jonny
