A legendary bad singer, who, suffering from Syphilis was unable to hear properly and was probably unaware of her lack of timing, pitch and singing talent. She was a gifted piano player apparently, but having inherited enough money to live comfortably, embarked on an ill informed singing career that included opening her own musical club, and sell out concerts full of people laughing - these she assumed were plants sent by rival singers to put her off. Apparently her piano player used to adjust his won playing to suit her poor and unpredictable vocal warblings. On the sleeve of this album you can see one of the many outrageous costumes she made for one of her many infamous performances. These are classic recordings. Long live FFJ.
