Description
Stan Kenton - City of Glass and This Modern World
Written about extensively in Irwin Chusid's Songs In The Key OF Z, this album (which includes "This Modern World too) by Stan Kenton was written entirely by Robert Graettinger, and comes right from the heart of the experimental musical scene in post war America. Graettinger was a curious character, a loner, perfectionist and chain smoker who spent years struggling to complete many of his musical visions. He died at the age of 33, six year after the original City Of Glass recordings were issued. Talented bugger.
