Description
Dizzy Reece feat. Tubby Hayes - Jazz Themes From Nowhere To Go
Yes, issued by the legendary Tempo label in 1958, this interesting and rare slice of British crime film jazz is really worth a listen. The ep has always been hard to get, basically because it's Dizzy Reece and Tubby Hayes and that madman Phil Seaman all together at the same time. And one cue in particular, The Escape And Chase features a fine sequence of odd drums and cowbells, most unusual for British jazz of this period. Anyway, it's 11p for the whole lot, and at the moment there are no plans for vinyl.
